Book a Nail TrimNail trimming sounds simple, but for a lot of dogs it's the part of grooming they like least. Doing it at home, one-to-one, makes a real difference:
A nail-trim-only visit is usually 15β30 minutes.
Dogs that freeze, fight or panic in salons usually do far better in their own home. There's no waiting room, no other dogs, no unfamiliar smells β and we go at their pace.
Older dogs with arthritis, hip issues or reduced mobility find standing on a salon table painful. Mobile trims at home avoid the stress and the strain.
Early, calm experiences with nail trimming set the tone for life. A gentle introduction at home is a much better first experience than a busy salon.
Dogs that don't get long walks on hard ground (pavement, stone) wear their nails down very slowly. They typically need trims every 4β6 weeks.
Black or very dark nails hide the quick, so the only safe approach is small, conservative cuts. We'd rather trim a little less than risk hurting your dog.
The mobile van parks at your home β driveway, front of house or kerb. For a quick trim we can sometimes work in your hallway or kitchen if that's calmer for the dog. Tracey will spend a couple of minutes settling your dog before the clippers come out, work through each paw, and stop for breaks if needed. No rush, no struggle.

In most cases, yes. We've worked with dogs that have been impossible at the salon. The home environment, calm pace and one-to-one approach make a meaningful difference. If your dog has a known severe reaction, mention it when you book and we'll discuss the best approach.
We take small, conservative cuts. The quick is hidden in dark nails, so the safe approach is to trim a little at a time, check, and stop before risking it. You can always book again sooner β better that than catching the quick.
It depends on how much they walk on hard ground. Active outdoor dogs may not need formal trims at all. Indoor dogs, senior dogs and dogs walked mainly on grass typically need a trim every 4β6 weeks.
Yes β every full groom includes a nail check and trim where needed. The standalone nail-trim service is for dogs that just need the nails done, without a bath or full groom.
No β we work with dogs only.

"Tracy has been to my GS twice now..I highly recommend this lovely lady. Luna looked beautiful when she came indoors. 2nd time she actually tried to get in the bath. Tracy is so good with her. Had a health check, did her ears & just about everything. It's taken me a couple of years to find a good groomer who really knows dogs. Tracy does. I'm not letting her escape. She gets back to me immediately. So if anyone reads this, I assure u. Tracy is the best. Her dear old Dad's lovely too. As I said, I highly recommend."
