Huskies, malamutes, akitas, German shepherds, samoyeds, chow chows and similar coats are designed to blow undercoat seasonally — and a proper de-shed helps that process happen in the van rather than on your sofa.
Labradors, golden retrievers, beagles, corgis, dalmatians and Border collies all benefit from a regular de-shed treatment, even with a relatively short coat.
Spring and autumn are the heaviest shedding periods. A treatment timed with the seasonal change makes the biggest difference to the volume of hair around the house.
